Present Simple Basics

The verb “to be” changes to “isn’t (is not)” or “aren’t (are not)”
in Negative Sentences.

Use “do not (don’t)” with plural subjects (I, you, we, they).

Example:

They don’t work here.

Use “does not (doesn’t)” with
singular third-person subjects (he, she, it).

Example:

He doesn’t like ice cream.

Always use the base form of the verb
(no -s or -es) after don’t/doesn’t.

Correct:

She doesn’t watch movies.

Incorrect:

She doesn’t watches movies.
