The verb “to be” changes to “is” or “are” depending on the subject.
Most verbs just add “-s” at the end.
For I, You, We, They(-s) is not added
Some verbs add “-es” at the end.
Some verbs that end in “-y” change to “-ies” at the end for Third person singular subjects such as (He, She, It)
For I, You, We, They(-y) doesn’t change into (-ies)
